University of Cambridge International Examinations training website is the home of Online Professional Development courses for Cambridge Teachers.

At Cambridge we have a well–established programme of online courses and services, giving teachers the knowledge and skills they need to help students succeed in Cambridge examinations.

The Internet enables learning to take place whenever and wherever you wish, and allows those who would find it difficult or impossible to attend face to face courses, the flexibility they require. Cambridge Online Training is available 24/7 and teachers can access at home, work, internet café or anywhere there is Internet access.

CIE offers a wide range of courses including:

• Introductory self–study
  These courses provide essential information for teachers who are new to the Cambridge syllabus, and include activities that prepare them for delivering the qualification. These courses do not have a tutor. Teachers are given access to these courses for six months.
• Online tutor–led
  These courses are led by a Cambridge examiner. They focus on classroom practice. Participants follow a three-unit programme over six weeks and can interact and share resources with teachers from other Cambridge schools.

Global Staff Room

The website is not just a place to access teaching material though; teachers taking part in the courses will benefit from sharing ideas, problems and good practice in a ‘global staffroom’ with colleagues around the world who are teaching at other Cambridge Centres.
